Where the Pancakes Are

A few days ago, J and I went to ‘Where the Pancakes Are’ for brunch during our little staycation. It was a lovely getaway, and having brunch at this place was pretty good, especially considering I could tick off a restaurant on my list after months. So. Happy.

The Aviary

Two days before my birthday (24/08/2020), Nahima and I went to The Aviary for a pre-birthday dinner celebration. We thought that, like usual, we were running late but thankfully we arrived with a minute to spare.

Busaba Eathai

i think the Eat Out to Help Out scheme is, honestly, so amazing and something that should continue beyond august. this particular 50% off deal helps to get a lot of companies back on their feet. today, i went to Busaba Eathai with Nahima, in Westfield Stratford. it’s an absolutely gorgeous Thai restaurant, with prettyContinue reading “Busaba Eathai”

Duck & Waffle

on feb 28th, i met up with N for breakfast at Duck and Waffle. our reservation was for 9:30, but of course, as usual, we were running late so changed it to 9:45.

Polo Bar

hey lovelies! hope everyone’s had, or having, a good day, despite the awful weather. this is another little food review, since i’ve been in a bit of a reading slump lately. yesterday i went for brunch with J, as i was craving some breakfast foods, and figured why not go to a place that’s famousContinue reading “Polo Bar”

Thai & Pie

remember in this post when i mentioned i’d review Thai & Pie? well, i’ve finally got around to it!

Café Miami

this week, Nahima and i went for brunch again after ages. it felt a little weird to be out of the house, for something other than going to uni, work or the hospital. but man, i really needed this.

Sweet

after leaving Searcy’s, Nahima and i walked over to Sweet — an adorable and aesthetic dessert place on Mile End Road.

Iris Bar by Searcy’s at the Gherkin

hi, lovelies! i hope you’re all having, or had, a great day! the majority of mine was spent with N — we met up for breakfast at Liverpool Street, and made our way to the Gherkin. kind of felt a little like stepping into all of my childhood dreams of what being an adult means.

Urban Chocolatier

one of my new-year’s-slash-new-decade’s resolutions is to eat healthier and be mindful of what i put into my body. this involves cutting back on sugar, junk food (with the exception of chocolates once a month) and other processed foods. so obviously i had to review one third of my favourite dessert places. (but i reallyContinue reading “Urban Chocolatier”

Chai Ki

i never really go to Indian restaurants, since i basically eat rice and curry at home anyway. but something about Chai Ki just really intrigued me, and i had to give it a little visit. kind of glad i did, tbh. it’s a cute, slightly fancy restaurant with a few branches spread out across London.Continue reading “Chai Ki”

Dalloway Terrace

this morning, Nahima and i went to Dalloway Terrace for breakfast. whenever we meet, one of us is always late. always. (usually, it’s her.) thankfully, i’d called up Dalloway the moment i got to the tube station, because i knew we’d end up running late. when we did get there, we were shown to aContinue reading “Dalloway Terrace”

Cafe East

Cafe East is the latest hotspot for numerous instagrammers and it’s been making its way round twitter, as the place to go to for brunch. so of course, i just had to check it out with N. since, you know, brunch is Our Thing.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

haaaaii ^.^ i’m back with a food review, since i have missed writing about food and occasionally waxing lyrical about the stuff i’ve devoured. wait have i ever actually done that? probably not.

Ristorante Roma

after walking around in the freezing cold for a few hours in Berlin, Nahima and i were shivering, starving and praying we’d find somewhere good (and cheap) to eat. then, lo and behold, like the angels had answered our prayers, Ristorante Roma appeared in front of us.

Yada Yada

in my recent post, i mentioned Yada Yada, an adorable breakfast club in Berlin. halfway in our journey from East Side Gallery to Checkpoint Charlie, Nahima and i came across this stunning little café.

Sketch

hey loves, hope you all had a great monday! i’m in a blanket burrito right now because it is so unbelievably cold and it’s only november. yikes. but as it is, today’s blog post is on Sketch, a super pretty and aesthetic restaurant in Mayfair.

Alto by San Carlo

hey lovelies! so i thought i’d start off with a food review of this gorgeous italian restaurant in the heart of west end. it’s located in selfridges, oxford street, with its own lift. how cool is that? i’ve been to this place twice.

Grounded Coffee Company

A little while ago, I went to Grounded Coffee Company with two friends, in the heart of East End. It’s nestled on the high street in Whitechapel/Aldgate East, hidden in plain sight. I’ve gone past this place so many times without ever really taking notice of it, but I used to see pictures of theirContinue reading “Grounded Coffee Company”
